Built-in recorder
Record at 48 kHz with pause and resume, a timer and a live level meter. Stop, and the cleaning starts on its own.
Noise Remover takes a recording from wherever it is, removes the background noise on your phone, lets you hear and adjust the result, and hands you a file ready to post.
Free · Android 8.0 or later, 64-bit
Bring a recording in the way it already exists: no converting, no copying files around.
Record at 48 kHz with pause and resume, a timer and a live level meter. Stop, and the cleaning starts on its own.
MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, FLAC, OGG, Opus, AMR, 3GP: pick a file with Android’s file picker. No storage permission needed.
Pick a video (MP4, 3GP, MKV, WebM, MOV): Noise Remover cleans its soundtrack and never touches the picture.
Send a voice note from WhatsApp or Telegram, or a file from your recorder or file manager, straight to the app with Android’s share menu.
Record with the phone’s own mic, a wired or USB microphone, or a Bluetooth headset, chosen in the recorder (Android 10 or later). If it disconnects mid-recording, the recording pauses.
Drop a marker at any moment of a recording: it shows on the waveform of the result, to find a retake or a key line again.
The noise is removed on the device by an AI model made for speech, the moment your audio comes in.
A neural network made for speech separates your voice from the noise, 100 times a second, without uploading anything. No noise sample to record first.
Leave the app while a long file cleans: a notification shows the progress and tells you when it is done. If you decline notifications, the cleaning still carries on.
Select up to 20 files and clean them one after the other, with the same settings. Save them all to one folder, or share them all in one go.
Choose the intensity, normalization and low-cut every new cleaning starts with. Out of the box: 80%, both on.
Hear exactly what changed, and decide how much of it you want.
Switch between Original and Cleaned at the same moment, while it plays: no gap, no jump, so you hear exactly what was removed.
Choose how much noise to remove, from 0 to 100%, and hear it live. The default 80% keeps voices natural.
If your voice comes out noticeably quieter than in the original, as can happen when other voices overlap, the app suggests a lower intensity.
Level, low end and length, set before you share, without a second app.
Bring the result to −16 LUFS, a ready-to-publish level, without going over −1 dB true peak. What LUFS mean.
Remove the rumble below 80 Hz (traffic, wind, handling noise) before the noise removal runs.
Drag two handles on the waveform to cut what comes before and after. Playback and export follow the range.
Send the result where it is going, in the format it needs.
AAC at 48 kHz and 128 kb/s: light files every app and platform accepts.
Export lossless WAV for your editor, MP3 for anywhere, or compact Opus on Android 10 or later.
Get your video back as an MP4 with its cleaned soundtrack, ready to post: the picture is copied as it is, never re-encoded, and nothing needs re-syncing in an editor.
A stereo recording stays in stereo, or can be folded to mono, which suits a single voice. A mono recording, such as one made in the app, stays mono.
Send the file to any app from Android’s share menu, or save it to the folder you choose. Its name says what it is: “your file (clean)”.
Every cleaning stays on your phone, ready to adjust and export again.
Every cleaning is listed by day. Reopen one to change its strength or trim and export it again: a re-export never counts against the free allowance.
See how much space your cleanings take, and delete the originals or every cleaning from Settings.
