How much noise it removes
Measured on the engine the app runs, with noise mixed into clean speech at four levels. Steady and outdoor noise drop by 15 to 43 dB in the pauses while the voice keeps its level. Other voices and music are not what it is made for, and the chart shows that too.

Does it work offline?
Yes. The cleaning runs entirely on your phone, so Noise Remover works in airplane mode, without signal or Wi-Fi. Only three things use the network, and never with your audio: the ads of the free version, the purchase of Pro, and usage statistics and crash reports (Firebase), with no name, e-mail or account attached.
Which noises can it remove?
Steady noise (fans, air conditioning, fridges, computers, electrical hum, microphone hiss, engines), outdoor noise (traffic, wind, rain, building sites), plus short clicks such as keyboard typing. Can it remove background noise from a video?
Yes. Import a video from your gallery or share it from another app: Noise Remover cleans the soundtrack and never touches the picture. Export the cleaned audio and replace the track in your video editor, or, with Pro, export the video itself as an MP4. Cleaning a video.
My voice sounds robotic or watery. What can I do?
Lower the intensity. At 100% the model removes everything it can, which can thin a voice; the default 80% caps the reduction near 29 dB, and 50 to 70% suits a voice recorded close to loud noise. Compare with the Original / Cleaned switch as you go. Keeping a voice natural.
Which audio and video formats does it accept?
Audio: MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, FLAC, OGG, Opus, AMR, 3GP. Video: MP4, 3GP, MKV, WebM, MOV, where the phone can decode it; only the soundtrack is cleaned. The few formats Android cannot decode, such as WMA or AC-3 tracks, and DRM-protected files are refused with a message that says why.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. Noise Remover runs on Android today, and an iPhone version is coming, built on the same on-device engine so your audio stays on the phone there too. This site will say when it is available.
